After an early career as a commercial artist in several art and broadcast studios in Los Angeles, Nancy moved with her family to Greenwich, Connecticut where she studied portrait painting with the renowned Freda Dreany and Daniel Green.
Nancy spent 30 years in Chatham, MA on beautiful Cape Cod, where her paintings combined the human form with the glories of nature to produce fluid warm inspired creations.
Whether it's Nancy's portraits, landscapes/seascapes, or her abilty to have captured children at the beach, the poetry of nature and her love of people flow from the canvas.
Nancy was inspired by the works of Frank Benson and Joaquin Babtiste Sorolla, her commercial art training gave her a full range of styles and themes from Contempory to Impressionistic. Her style viewed as "capturing a moment in time on canvas".
Nancy Cole's paintings can be seen by appointment at her gallery, 89 Barcliff Avenue in Chatham, Massachusetts
